Jerry Garcia Foundation Supports Pollinator Stewardship in "Garden of Song" Fine Art Premiere at Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco

The Jerry Garcia Foundation helps pollinator conservation with a nature and music themed collection of Jerry Garcia fine art to be unveiled at the Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco relaunch

SAN FRANCISCO - May 12, 2017 // PRNewswire // - The Jerry Garcia Foundation has partnered with Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco to present the "Garden of Song" exhibit, a new collection of Jerry Garcia fine art. Family members, Manasha and Keelin Garcia will unveil a collection of the virtuoso's visual art presented at the Hard Rock Cafe Relaunch Celebration in San Francisco on May 13, 2017.

The "Garden of Song" exhibit includes a five piece butterfly study by Garcia.

Hosted by Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco, the highly anticipated reveal of its renovated facility will culminate with art, music and community during a "Summer of Love" inspired celebration between 10:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. at Pier 39.

The Jerry Garcia Foundation is pleased to introduce singer/songwriter Greg Winser to the musical mix at the Pier 39 Stage. Greg Winser, a California native, will perform original songs in a free performance with an eclectic lineup featuring Bassist, Tony Saunders (Jerry Garcia/Merle Saunders) Guitarist, Bill Hampton and Drummer, Hanne Tylvad Anderson. The Band's 10:30 A.M. set initiates the "Summer of Love" fun at the art/music event.

Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco has invited Greg Winser and surprise guests to participate in a chartable "guitar smash." All selected guitars are non-usable (any parts that can be recycled will be reused). The remaining guitar materials will be transformed into butterfly themed sculptures created by Jerry Garcia's daughter, Keelin Garcia, then donated to support pollinator conservation programs.

"It is an honor to support the Hard Rock Heals Foundation and pollinator conservation programs with the transformative beauty of art and music." - Manasha Garcia

The Jerry Garcia Foundation will donate a collection of Jerry Garcia's fine art to three nonprofit organizations. A one-of-a kind Mandolin Player on canvas and a Golden Meadows giclée will be donated to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation. Jerry's Butterfly Study I and Butterfly Study II will be donated to the SaveOurMonarchs Foundation.

Manasha Garcia's Butterfly Garden piece will also be donated to the SaveOurMonarchs Foundation. An etching created by Jerry Garcia titled Honey Bees will be donated to HoneyLove.org – Urban Beekeepers.
