theCoderSchool to Open Second Dallas-Ft. Worth Location

Silicon Valley-based children’s enterprise franchise comes to Flower Mound.

May 31, 2017 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool - recently identified as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s “top five franchises to watch” - has announced that a new school is set to open on June 3 in Flower Mound, TX. The new school will aim to show a new generation of kids how galvanizing and stimulating technology can be, while coaching coding skills that are highly in demand and applicable across all industries.

The new school will be owned by Dean Tarpley, who also owns theCoderSchool’s Frisco location. Tarpley, no stranger to franchising, also owns 27 School of Rock Locations across nine states and ultimately plans to open 8-10 additional theCoderSchools throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth market.

“I’m thrilled to continue growing theCoderSchool’s presence in the greater DFW area,” said Tarpley. “There is a massive need for coders and programmers in this country right now. However, through our customized, project-based approach we aim to show parents and kids that learning to code does more than just open career doors - it’s a great creative outlet, and it truly is a fun experience.”

theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 8 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.

“Dean and his team have done a fantastic job already with the existing school in Frisco of setting kids up with a positive, life-long relationship with tech and coding,” noted theCoderSchool founder, Hansel Lynn. “We can’t wait to see the same level of success in Flower Mound - theCoderSchool’s prime directive is always to provide a fun, engaging environment while improving kids’ logic, ideation and creative thinking skills.”

theCoderSchool is also a proud founding member of the International Alliance of Youth Coding Educators. The IAYCE is an alliance of global partners whose goal is to further coding education for youth around the world.
