Club Pilates Hits Impressive Mid-Year Growth Mark, Eyes New York for Expansion

Nation’s Largest Pilates Brand Looks to Take Over the Big Apple in Next Phase of Nationwide Growth

COSTA MESA, Calif. - June 13, 2017 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - On the heels of last month’s announcement of the signing of its 500th franchise agreement, Club Pilates, the largest and fastest-growing Pilates franchise in the world, is setting its eyes on further national expansion – specifically on the East Coast.

The brand’s unparalleled and premium service has triggered growth in major markets across the country while also attracting the attention of TPG Growth, a new investor in the brand, and Club Pilates is currently eyeing the Big Apple as its next expansion hub. To enhance the company’s aggressive growth plans and to further develop its presence, Club Pilates will be exhibiting at the 2017 International Franchise Expo (IFE). Held June 15-17 at The Javits Center in New York City, the IFE is the largest franchise expo of its kind, showcasing more than 450 franchise opportunities. At the expo, Club Pilates will be at Booth 1051 to meet with potential franchise candidates to discuss the brand’s recent investment news, long-term vision and franchise opportunity.

The expansion plans for the market follow several new franchise agreements in the New York/New Jersey area:

• Brooklyn: There will be one new studio opening on Pacific Street, with another on Kings Highway.
• Manhattan: Over the next 18 months, there will be three new studios opening in Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan/Tribeca, and Battery Park.
• Long Island: A location in New Hyde Park will open in July, followed by a studio in East North Point opening in August.
• New Jersey: Twenty nine franchise agreements have been signed in New Jersey with 11 currently open and 18 to come. The studios to open closest to Manhattan will include Montvale in July, Hoboken in August, and Ridgewood in September.

To continue development throughout the market, Club Pilates has identified several key target areas that are available for further growth: Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Westchester County, Manhattan (including Midtown, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Broadway, Chelsea, East Village, Union Square and Gramercy), Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County and Suffolk County in Long Island

Founded in 2007, Club Pilates offers group reformer Pilates classes, providing consumers a tailored, high-end workout at an affordable cost. The brand currently has nearly 200 locations open in 35 states and with over 20 studios opening per month, the brand is on track to have 350 studios open by the end of 2017.
