White Spot and Triple O's Fundraiser Supports BC Wildfire Relief Efforts

Two dollars from the sale of Burger Platters and Combos on Thursday, July 13 will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross

July 12, 2017 // Franchising.com // Vancouver, BC - On Thursday, July 13 White Spot Restaurants, along with their premium QSA brand Triple O’s, will be holding a fundraising day to support the BC Wildfire relief efforts. Both brands will be donating $2 from the sale of every burger platter or combo to the Canadian Red Cross. All 65 White Spot restaurants throughout B.C. and Alberta and participating Triple O’s will be donating to the cause. BC Ferries vessels who offer White Spot on board have also generously offered their support.

“Although the fires to date haven’t directly impacted regions where we have restaurants, we know that a tragedy of this magnitude will affect many of our employees, their families as well as our guests, and we want them to know that our thoughts are with them, along with the firefighters and other first responders working to protect and care for them” notes Warren Erhart, President, White Spot Restaurants. “We have reached out to our family of franchisees and partners, and they have been unanimous in their agreement to provide support.”

“We are so grateful for White Spot’s desire to support our relief efforts in British Columbia,” said Kimberley Nemrava, Vice-President, Canadian Red Cross B.C. & Yukon. “Donations will help provide relief for those affected by the wildfires in the form of cots, blankets, family reunification, as well as financial assistance so individuals and families can get the food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities now, and in the weeks and months ahead.”

“In partnership with White Spot, BC Ferries supports this great initiative to assist our fellow British Columbians during this difficult time,” said Corrine Storey, Vice President of Customer Services with BC Ferries.

“Canadians are known for pulling together,” added Erhart. “Our goal for this one day initiative is to raise as much money as possible to support the B.C. wildfire relief efforts.
