Pizza 73 Brings Back 9” Smile Pizza For Slices For Smiles Campaign Supporting Children’s Miracle Network

October 25, 2017 // Franchising.com // EDMONTON, AB - Hot and fresh pizzas topped with pepperoni smiles are back on the menu at Pizza 73 as part of their annual Slices for Smiles fundraising program. From October 16 to November 12, customers can support local children’s hospitals by purchasing a special 9-inch “smile” pizza for $5.50. A percentage of proceeds from the sale of each pizza will be directed to help fund critical care, research, training and equipment at Stollery Children’s Hospital, Alberta Children’s Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Jim Pattison Hospital Foundation.

“Care for the community, and particularly our children, has been one of our core values since day one,” says Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza 73. “We’re delighted to be able to celebrate Pizza Month by giving back to such a wonderful cause. To come together with our customers and partners for this special initiative is just one way that we provide support for the communities we serve.”

Customers can purchase a smile pizza in-store or receive it by delivery with any pizza ordered by phone, online or through the Pizza 73 app.

Funds raised through the program are directed to the nearest Children’s Miracle Network member hospital.

In 2016, Pizza 73 and its sister company, Pizza Pizza, raised $500,000 for children’s hospitals. Since the launch of the program in 2007, Slices for Smiles has raised over $2.5 million for children’s causes in Canada.
