In McAneney’s role as president, he will establish and oversee the company’s goals and strategies. In addition, he will lead a new company initiative to aggregate and analyze store key results and industry trends, as well as oversee new business development and construction/design. “Since joining Duck Donuts Franchising Company, Gary and Betsy, both highly experienced professionals, have made a significant, positive impact on business development, efficiency of our store operations and marketing initiatives,” said DiGilio. “As we move forward as a national brand, this divide and conquer approach among our leadership will strategically position us as a sound resource for our franchisees to ensure their success.”

McAneney, who joined Duck Donuts Franchising Company in 2015, has more than 25 years of experience in both the food service and venue management business. He started his career with Aramark Food Services, before joining SMG in 1994. As SMG’s senior vice president of finance, Gary was involved in contract negotiation, new business development, corporate wide vendor programs, as well as many other company initiatives. Gary graduated from Ursinus College and is involved in coaching youth sports.

Hamm joined Duck Donuts as the marketing director in 2016, overseeing all aspects of marketing, specifically focusing on actively developing and executing marketing strategies to raise awareness and grow the expanding Duck Donuts brand. Previously, she spent nearly 15 years at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, playing an integral role in launching large-scale branding initiatives ranging from multi-million dollar roller coasters to fully integrated, multi-platform marketing campaigns. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Shippensburg University and loves to spend her time with her family and raising her two daughters.

About Duck Donuts

Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. His intention? To solve a family vacation problem: “Our family wanted a place to buy warm, delicious, made-to-order donuts, and when we couldn’t find one, we decided to start our own.”

By 2011, Duck Donuts had expanded to four Outer Banks locations and the donut business was so successful that DiGilio was continuously approached about franchise opportunities by fans who begged for a Duck Donuts in their community. The first franchise opened in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 2013, and there are now 53 open franchise locations and more than 130 additional contracts in 23 states.
