10th Franchise Sold - Fit Kids America comes to Alabama!

February 21, 2018 // Franchising.com // Madison, AL - Fit Kids America, a leader in After School Enrichment in San Diego County, signs it's 10th franchisee. Classes will soon be held in Mobile, Alabama. Fit Kids is an organization that bring fitness to schools. In an effort to fight childhood obesity, and lack of physical fitness in schools, Fit Kids provides classes in a fun, non competitive atmosphere.

Fit Kids started in 2005 in Carlsbad, CA after Founder Joan Gambill realized the need for extra activity after school. "Picking up kids in California is a big process, because most schools don't have buses. Now, parents could leave kids at school to enjoy a program, and avoid the lines". The other benefit is friends played and organized sport with their friends, and learned to love fitness.

Fit Kids quickly grew to over 50 schools county wide. Soon after, franchises were opening up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Orange County, and all the way to Tennessee and Texas.
