The Dog Stop® Continues to Grow in Pittsburgh

June 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Dog Stop® - founded in Pittsburgh in 2009 - an award-winning, all-inclusive dog care facility continues to expand their paw print in their home turf of Pittsburgh with their newest location in Upper St. Clair.

Located at 1377 McLaughlin Run Road in Upper St. Clair, the new location will be owned by Brad and Linda Childs and operated by store manager, Amanda Meneo. The new store currently stands at 8,000 sq. ft. but future plans call to double the store totaling to 16,000 sq. ft. primarily made up of outdoor play space. The Childs ultimately plan to open nine additional over the next several years.

Currently serving as the Regional Vice President of Eyetique and the Co-Founder of Pittsburgh Aviation Animal Rescue (PAART) , Brad plans to combine his business knowledge with his passion for dogs. Childs’ natural leadership abilities and experience in animal care has guided his professional step to provide the best experience for his community and their four-legged companions.

The Dog Stop’s clean, safe, 100% climate controlled facilities feature premium boarding accommodations, social and interactive daycare experiences, spa-like grooming retreats, in-home services, and a retail store featuring premium dog food, treats, toys and accessories. Other features include separate and secure play areas for dogs of all ages, sizes and energy levels, including outdoor space with special anti-microbial artificial “grass".

Unlike many of its competitors, The Dog Stop® charges a flat standard fee, no matter the breed or size of the dogs. However, for those owners who prefer a more tailored experience for their dogs, the “Dog Stop Delights program” offers extra activities such as cuddle time, one-on-one play, leash walks, training sessions and puzzle time.

The Dog Stop of Upper St. Clair will be open Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
