Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids Cuts Out the Competition in Oregon

Upcoming location in Medford looks to make more children’s haircuts fun

October 03, 2018 // Franchising.com // Salt Lake City, Utah – Children’s haircuts are more fun than ever now that Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids is coming to Medford.

Located at 171 Rossanley Dr., the salon is slated to open in mid-October and will be owned and operated by Alex and Annett Siegel.

“As kids loving adults, we’ve experienced first-hand the anxiety associated with children’s haircuts and we are excited to own a business that makes the experience fun for kids and stress-free for parents,” said Alex. “We are eager to introduce the Cookie Cutters brand to the Medford community, and look forward to helping our neighbors discover how much fun a children’s haircut can actually be.”

No strangers to entrepreneurship, Alex and Annett come with a combined 30 years of business experience. Alex, who earned a Master’s degree in automotive at BMW in Munich, Germany, operated his European car shop (Alex’s Autohaus) for 16 years in Salt Lake City before selling. Annett has a background in teaching and social work, in which she worked with various childcare and educational institutes in Germany before immigrating to the United States. Here, she operated a private train-car charter business for 14 years. The two met through a motorcycling hobby and relocated to Medford, Oregon where they are starting from scratch with their new business venture.

“We wanted to start something together that brings a new adventure, fun and challenge to both of us, and we found that in Cookie Cutters,” stated Annett. “Cookie Cutters is a happy and positive business for our community. Medford is where we chose to finally settle in together, live and work, and we couldn’t be more excited to support our local neighbors and put smiles on kids’ faces.”

Cookie Cutters offers an interactive haircut experience that both children and parents won’t soon forget. Upon entering the salon, children are welcomed by an in-store playground where they can climb and slide. Come time for the haircut, each station on the cutting floor is outfitted with unique fantasy chairs – from race cars to motorcycles, firetrucks to airplanes – as well as televisions for the kids to watch shows. With a balloon, lollipop and a smile at the end of each haircut, the Cookie Cutters experience is designed to keep children coming back again and again.

“Little ones can be terrified by the haircut experience – the loud buzz of clippers, the confinement in a chair, the orders from a stranger to sit still. Cookie Cutters has designed its approach to put children at ease,” Annett added. “Nothing in the salon will be scary or intrusive for a child. Our goal is to provide all children, including those with special needs or sensory issues, with an enjoyable experience, pleasant memories and the desire to keep coming back.”

Cookie Cutters of Medford will be open from Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10 am to 5pm.
