One Alabama Customer Wins Free Feasts for a Year

January 17, 2019 // Franchising.com // Opelika, Alabama - Taziki's Mediterranean Café celebrated “National Feast Day” on Saturday, December 1st. All customers who ordered a Grilled Chicken Feast through the Taziki’s app or online were entered for a chance to win free Taziki’s Grilled Chicken Feasts for a year.

After receiving over 1,000 orders on National Feast Day, Taziki’s has announced that Kristy Cerro of Auburn, Alabama as the winner. Kristy and her friends are frequent guests of the Opelika Taziki’s location.

"I was so excited to learn I won! I just celebrated my birthday and several of my friends surprised me with lunch at Taziki’s,” said Cerro. “The following day while out Christmas shopping with a friend, I ordered our lunch from the app so it would be ready when we arrived and it was!”

Taziki’s Grilled Chicken Feast which is one of the restaurant's most popular items is served with signature house-made Taziki sauce, a Greek salad, a baked pita and the customer’s choice of Roasted New Potatoes or Basmati Rice. The Grilled Chicken Feast has always been a favorite of Cerro’s and she is looking forward to enjoying the meal throughout the new year.

“I can’t wait to take advantage of the opportunity to have delicious free food in 2019,” said Cerro. “I love Taziki’s because the entrees are always fresh, fabulous and they have so many healthy choices from which to choose!”

During the past three years, the company has experienced more than a 200% increase in the amount of online and to-go orders. The restaurant has been working throughout 2018 to create more convenient ways to order ahead, both with a new mobile app and online ordering options.

“We strive to make ordering amazing food simple for our customers like Kristy. This contest was a fun way to spread holiday cheer with our guests,” said Rachel Layton, Vice President of Marketing, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. “Taziki’s is focused on relevant ways to connect with our guests that make their lives easier and better.”

Taziki’s just launched TAZ Rewards, their very first rewards and loyalty program, that works both in the line and online through Taziki’s app.

Customers can download the app on their iPhone or Android or stop by a Taziki’s location and easily enter their phone number to participate in TAZ Rewards. The program awards a Star for every $5 spent. After 25 Stars are earned, the customer will receive a $10 off reward and can expect other periodic surprise offers.

Taziki’s menu is known for its original chef-driven recipes prepared daily from more than 100 fresh produce items as well as more than 60 herbs and spices flavoring the food; including freshly grilled meats, original sauces and healthy side dishes, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options.
