Home Helpers CEO Receives Prestigious Franchising Award

Emma Dickison Named 2019 Crystal Compass Honoree at IFA2019

February 25, 2019 // Franchising.com // LAS VEGAS - Emma Dickison, CEO and President of Home Helpers® Home Care, has received the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) 2019 Crystal Compass, recognizing outstanding leadership in the franchising industry. The Crystal Compass is presented by the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee each year during the Association’s annual leadership meeting. This year’s event, IFA2019, is being held in Las Vegas February 24 - 27.

Each year, IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee selects one individual in the franchise community who has exemplified the organization’s ideals of leadership and community involvement. To be considered for the Crystal Compass, professionals must have demonstrated significant contributions to their own organizations as well as to the franchising industry and the communities they serve.

Dickison has been president of Cincinnati-based Home Helpers Home Care since 2008. She was named CEO with the company’s acquisition by Linsalata Capital Partners (LinCap) in February 2016.

With more than 25 years’ experience in franchise leadership, she played a role in building two of the industry’s most iconic franchise brands. While at Blockbuster during the company’s heyday, Dickison saw the brand grow from 150 stores to 8,800 worldwide. She also helped fuel similar growth at Sylvan Learning Center. She’s a Certified Franchise Executive, Certified Senior Advisor, co-chair of the Southwest Ohio

Women’s Franchise Chapter, a Board of Director with the Home Care Association of America, a former board member of the Women’s Franchise and Distribution Forum, and an active affiliate of the International Franchise Association.
