Water Safety and Survival School Debuts Two New Patapsco Valley Locations

March 25, 2019 // Franchising.com // Patapsco Valley, MD.- British Swim School, best known for its education of water safety as an essential survival skill amongst a fun and gentle environment, continues its nationwide expansion with two new pool locations in Patapsco Valley, MD. The first location at the Sheraton BWI Airport Hotel has been open to the public as of November 2018, while the BWI Marriott Hotel opened mid-January 2019. Both locations are being run by first-time franchisee, Chris Kroeker, and are being acknowledged through a grand opening celebration on March 30th at the BWI Marriott Hotel in Linthicum Heights, MD.?

The grand opening festivities will include family-friendly activities such as land-based water sensory stations, a water safety pledge signing, prize wheel and more carnival style games and prizes. Families who attend will receive 25 percent off their tuition for the first eight weeks of enrollment (membership fee still applies).

“I was inspired to open two British Swim School locations in Patapsco Valley because my views are very much aligned with CEO Rita Goldberg,” said Chris Kroeker, British Swim School franchisee. “Drowning is, indeed, a preventable tragedy and I feel it is extremely important for every child to learn this life-saving survival skill early on in life.”

British Swim School offers a two-step curriculum teaching children and adults of all ages, some as young as three months, water safety and survival skills, along with swimming skill development. While parental supervision is always the number one safety measure, research shows that participation in formal swim programs, such as those offered by British Swim School, can reduce the risk of drowning by 88 percent among children who are most at risk for deaths caused by drowning.

The British Swim School franchise concept operates a unique water safety program with teaching methods that serve as a trademark for the brand. The company offers lessons out of multiple national fitness chains and hotel pools year-round, based on the premise that children progress at different rates. Each child, regardless of age, is placed in their correct skill level and will have certain achievable objectives. British Swim School operates in nearly 200 schools in 21 states within the U.S., and holds nearly 15,000 lessons per week nationally, and conducted nearly 750,000 swimming lessons in 2018.

The first British Swim School at the Sheraton BWI Airport Hotel is located at 1100 Old Elkridge Landing Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. While the second British Swim School at the BWI Marriott Hotel is located at 1743 W Nursery Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. For more information about British Swim School in Patapsco Valley, please visit https://britishswimschool.com/patapscovalley/.
