Kumon Math and Reading Center of Leawood Now Taking Enrollments

June 06, 2019 // Franchising.com // LEAWOOD, Kan. - For nearly 25 years, JinMi Jung has made a positive impact on students’ lives as a middle school math teacher in South Korea, after passing the national qualification exam for math teachers in public secondary schools. After moving to the United States four years ago, she was awarded an honorary retirement award from the National Government of Korea based on her tenure as a teacher. Jung knew she wasn’t ready to close the chapter on education, so when she discovered a local Kumon Center in her area it immediately sparked an interest in her. Now, she is the proud owner of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Leawood.

“I became familiar with Kumon when I was living in South Korea and have always been intrigued on how distinct the Kumon Method is,” said Jung, owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Leawood. “Kumon offers an individualized learning approach, which is why people all over the world love this program. While people come from different backgrounds culturally, the desire to receive an excellent education is a common bond that is shared on a global level.”

The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.

“We recognize that each students’ approach to learning is different, and we provide them with the right tools to gain confidence and experience achievement,” said Jung. “The confidence and achievement they experience, will create an intrinsic motivation for students to want to grow. Having positive experiences in learning will encourage them to contribute to our society in the future.”

Kumon sparks critical thinking, establishes a pattern of success and builds confidence that can lead to accelerated learning throughout life. Learn more about the Kumon Method today.
