FlannelJax’s to Sponsor Lumberjack Days 85th Anniversary Festival

Popular Axe-Throwing Franchise Builds on Successful First-Year Growth with Community Celebration

PAUL, Minn. - FlannelJax’s, the popular St. Paul axe-throwing and lumberjack sports experience, will be a premier sponsor for the 85th Anniversary of Lumberjack Days this weekend. The fun family festival celebrates Stillwater’s lumberjack heritage and the rich local outdoor summer activities of the river town.

Lumberjack Days will run from Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, in downtown Stillwater. Admission is free, and the festivities run daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The sponsorship of local businesses and organizations help provide free music, lumberjack shows, a downhill derby, a parade and much more for event attendees to enjoy.

FlannelJax’s will host a booth at the event and invite visitors to Thump the Stump. This free nail hammering challenge has a lumberjack twist; participants are only allowed to use a hatchet. Contestants can show off their skills and cheer on their favorite Thump the Stump lumberjacks and lumberjills. FlannelJax’s will provide giveaways at the booth and prizes for Thump the Stump competitors.

Lumberjack Days also reunites FlannelJax’s and Lift Bridge Brewing Co., a Stillwater-based craft brewery. This successful partnership between two popular local companies began during the franchise’s one-year anniversary celebration on June 28.
