Lapels Dry Cleaning launches free pickup and delivery service in Charlotte, NC

September 05, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHARLOTTE, NC and HANOVER, MA - Lapels Dry Cleaning, an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company headquartered in Hanover, Massachusetts, announced it will start a free pickup and delivery service in the greater Charlotte area. Lapels Dry Cleaning Franchise Owner Alka Yadav will run the delivery service, which will serve the Myers Park, Eastover, Uptown, South End and Cotswold sections of Charlotte, NC.

“Lapels Dry Cleaning entered the Charlotte market earlier this year and the response to our sustainable, non-toxic way of dry cleaning clothes has been very popular with customers and businesses. In order to bring this service to more people in Charlotte, we developed the free pickup and delivery program,” said Yadav. “Customers in those parts of Charlotte can order pickup utilizing the Lapels Dry Cleaning app or calling 704-595-7434.”

In addition to free pickup and delivery, prices will be the same as other Lapels Dry Cleaning stores in Charlotte.

“One of the reasons we can offer a free pickup and delivery service is the sustainable way Lapels cleans clothes,” said Yadav.

Yadav knows of what she speaks. Prior to this venture, she worked in product development in the apparel industry for 25 years and had very intense knowledge of Apparel from fiber construction to final garment. That included the last seven years in Charlotte.

“Starting Lapels in Charlotte is bringing my career to full circle as I started with working is fabric mills and have intense knowledge of make of fabric and garments,” said Yadav. “In all my research, Lapels is the only dry cleaning that does not smell of chemicals.”

Adds Yadav, “There are many companies providing pick-up and delivery, however, at Lapels we combine the latest and greatest in technology including an app available to sign up for pickup and delivery, as well as the world’s only 100 percent, environmentally non-toxic cleaning process. Because we control the cleaning process, we can ensure clothes are being cleaned in a manner that produces no odor, feel softer and, ultimately, last longer!” said Yadav.

The environmental component consists of the eco-friendly dry cleaning experience Lapels has pioneered over the past two decades. Part of that effort includes a partnership agreement with GreenEarth®, the dry cleaning industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative. Using these kinds of solutions and the latest technology in equipment, Lapels is one of the few dry cleaners able to boast that there is no hazardous waste in their process.

“Offering pickup-delivery takes advantage of another great part of Lapels, its technology,” said Yadav. “Like I said, the opportunity made too much sense and now more people can enjoy Lapels service.”

In addition to its environmentally friendly dry cleaning process, Lapels Dry Cleaning sets itself apart with its customer service.

Lapels offers it’s customers Automatic Rewards earning them credit towards free dry cleaning for every dollar they spend, Loyalty Programs, a VIP Program which eliminates the need to wait in line, the use of a 24 Hour Drop Off Service and, as mentioned, FREE Home Delivery to its Charlotte customers in select areas.
