Super Bowl Champion Marques Colston Discusses His Partnership with Main Squeeze Juice Co. on FOX Business

September 16, 2019 // Franchising.com // NEW ORLEANS, La. - Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Marques Colston recently appeared on the FOX Business news and talk show, “Varney & Co.” The September 11, 2019 show highlighted Colston’s decision to partner with juice and smoothie bar franchise Main Squeeze Juice Co.

After a brief discussion about whether or not college athletes should be paid for their efforts, host Stuart Varney shifted the conversation to Colston’s investment in Main Squeeze, saying “Tell me about this.”

“It was a really good opportunity to partner with a young, up-and-coming franchise concept. We pride ourselves on making healthy easy for our customers,” said Colston, referring to the cold pressed juices, superfood smoothies and acai bowls that can be found on the menu.

Varney finished the interview by saying, “Main Squeeze. We shall remember that. Congratulations.”

Aside from his on-field accomplishments, Colston is a uniquely sharp and passionate entrepreneur and businessman who always wanted to delve into franchising but was never able to find the right fit. However, in early 2018, he was approached by a member of the Main Squeeze sales team via a LinkedIn message.

“It was one of those opportunities that just fell out of the sky,” Colston said shortly after investing in the New Orleans-based franchise last year.

Today, in addition to being a minority owner, Colston serves on Main Squeeze’s executive team as Director of Business Development. In that role, he is armed with supporting the company’s growth by seeking out strategic partnerships, creating connections and finding opportunities for the emerging franchise concept. to raise awareness about the benefits of healthy, simple and all-natural nutrition.

Colston is not the only Saints player to invest in Main Squeeze. His former teammate and current Saints punter, Thomas Morstead, became the newest addition of the company’s ownership group in August.

Today, Main Squeeze has 12 locations open and operating throughout Louisiana and Texas, with more than 40 additional locations in various stages of development.
