Paul Pickett Receives Prestigious Crystal Compass Award

March 06, 2020 // Franchising.com // Carmel, IN - Paul Pickett, Wild Birds Unlimited Chief Development Officer, received the International Franchise Association (IFA) 2020 Crystal Compass, which recognizes outstanding leadership in the franchising industry. The Crystal Compass is presented by the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee during the Association’s annual leadership meeting.

Each year, IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee selects one individual in the franchise community who has exemplified the organization’s ideals of leadership and community involvement. To be considered for the Crystal Compass, professionals must have demonstrated significant contributions to their own organization as well as to the franchising industry and the communities they serve.

The IFA looks for ways to improve the franchise industry by uplifting thought-leaders and by staying engaged with communities.

Pickett is actively involved in the franchising and local community. He is a member of the IFA’s Franchise Relations Committee and Franchisor Forum, and he is the co-chair of the newly formed IFA Pride Counsel. He sat on the Advisory Board for the Franchise Update Leadership and Development Conference and chaired the event in 2018. He has served formally and informally as a mentor to many other franchise brands. Locally, he recently finished his six year term as a board member of the Damien Center. He’s also on the board of Newfields Horticultural Society and he has been involved with the Indiana Voting Commission.
