UNITS Moving and Portable Storage Awards New Territory in Northern New Jersey

Their 35th Franchise Awarded Nationally Begins a Charge into the Northeast for Booming Moving and Portable Storage Franchise

March 17, 2020 // Franchising.com // CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage, a national moving and portable storage franchise headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, awarded a new territory in Northern New Jersey. The franchise is the first in New Jersey and the second franchise in the Northeast, joining Allentown, Pennsylvania.

“The Northeastern U.S. is an area we are eager to develop, and Northern New Jersey is a terrific area for that push to begin,” UNITS Moving and Portable Storage CEO Michael McAlhany said. “We’re thrilled with the ownership team that will develop New Jersey, and are optimistic there will be more to come!”

UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Northern New Jersey was awarded to the husband and wife team of Matt Coolidge and Barbara Martin of Pequannock, New Jersey. Matt, an information technology professional, is excited to bring a UNITS Moving and Portable Storage franchise to his wife’s home state and the place he’s called home since 1991.

“Barbara and I couldn’t be happier to open the first UNITS Moving and Portable Storage in New Jersey,” he said. “The area is seeing terrific growth and has a great business environment that we’re excited to join.”

The franchise is expected to open in the summer of 2020.
