MADabolic Flexes Strength-Focused Fitness in Chamblee with New Gym Opening

Premier Interval Training Brand Opens Second Atlanta-Area Gym

July 22, 2020 // Franchising.com // CHAMBLEE, Ga. - MADabolic, the first and only strength-driven interval training franchise, is redefining Atlanta’s boutique fitness scene with the opening of a new gym in Chamblee Village at 1841 Chamblee Tucker Rd.

Locally owned and operated by Chamblee resident LaShell Estes, the new MADabolic will be the brand’s second location in the Atlanta area. For local high-performing fitness enthusiasts seeking a workout routine rooted in structure and strength, MADabolic’s program will set a new standard for group fitness, delivering a next-level kind of consistency and accountability unmatched by any other gyms.

“When I first became a MADabolic member, I felt that same sense of structure and drive that I felt as a collegiate volleyball player. The program allowed me to embrace my inner athlete and fulfilled my need for a fitness routine that continued to challenge me,” said Estes. “That’s why I wanted to open my own MADabolic gym – to empower others who are eager for self-growth through fitness and who crave structure and results like I did. The program has changed my life for the better in so many ways, so when the opportunity to open up my own MADabolic gym presented itself, I immediately was on board and couldn’t be more excited to share this with my fellow Chamblee community.”

Estes brings her experience in finance, accounting and project management to her new MADabolic location. A lifelong Chamblee resident, Estes is eager to use her new business as an avenue to connect with fellow young entrepreneurs and business owners in Atlanta.

A grand opening celebration will be held on August 1, which will include free morning classes, chair massages, snacks from Playa Bowls and ONE Bar, live music from 94.5 FM, free MADabolic gear, raffles and more.

Founded in Charlotte, N.C. by former professional hockey players, Brandon Cullen and Kirk Dewaele, MADabolic’s distinctive concept is the first of its kind. Rather than over-emphasizing cardio, MADabolic treats strength as its base. This purposeful approach provides unparalleled results through strength-driven interval training.

“Too often in today’s fitness culture, consumers are led to believe that more is always better, when in actuality, better is better, period,” said Cullen. “We are confident that LaShell will create a passionate and enthusiastic following in Chamblee, where motivated high-achievers looking for a true athletic workout will find long-term results.”

MADabolic’s signature interval system is crafted entirely around work-to-rest ratios, which presents a challenging-yet-accessible environment for each client. Each 50-minute class includes a detailed description of the workout, an in-depth demonstration of each movement, and a carefully structured warmup to match the specific demands of the daily workout.

As the gym opens and welcomes locals through its doors, MADabolic Chamblee is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy space for its members and staff. In addition to following all local and state mandates and CDC guidelines, the gym’s floorplan is set up to accommodate social distancing practices and MADabolic has implemented increased surface hygiene protocol as well as nightly professional cleaning.
