Delivery and Takeout Pizza Franchise Expands to Second Major Texas Market

Romeo’s Pizza Partners with Team of Local Pizza Champions in Dallas-Fort Worth Franchise Agreement

November 23, 2020 // Franchising.com // MEDINA, Ohio - Romeo’s Pizza, the award-winning franchise that offers pizza with a purpose, is bringing their signature sauce and slices to the Dallas Fort-Worth market. The area agreement is the next phase in Romeo’s ambitious franchise expansion plan in the state of Texas.

A key player in Romeo’s Pizza’s development in Texas, Eddie Lucio III has been an advocate and valuable franchise partner of the company. Lucio is a member of the Texas House of Representatives and has served Texas’s 38th District since 2007. The recent agreement in the Dallas-Fort Worth area follows a similar development plan in the Austin market that Lucio also played a role in bringing to fruition. Representative Lucio takes pride in the successful partnership with Romeo’s Pizza and is looking forward to bringing handcrafted excellence and pizza with a purpose to more Texans over the coming years.

“We’ve already had a great response from our development efforts in Austin, so we’re confident that the Dallas-Fort Worth community will welcome us with open arms,” says Lucio. “Texans are excited for the high-quality products Romeo’s Pizza serves, but it’s our commitment to furthering ethical business practices, environmental awareness, and philanthropic efforts that has proven to be a deciding factor for many.”

Representative Lucio, indicative of one of the core values of Romeo’s Pizza, believes that teamwork is a major element in finding success. As part of the Dallas-Fort Worth area agreement, Lucio worked closely with a seasoned investor who has an extensive background in small business ownership and larger scale business development. The pair resonated with the core values and dependable operating strategy of Romeo’s Pizza, and quickly put their plans for the future of the partnership in motion.

"Even during these difficult times, Dallas is an excellent city for entrepreneurs and businesses, including restaurants," said Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson. "As the reigning Bon Appetit Restaurant City of the Year, Dallas takes great pride in its food scene. I look forward to Romeo’s expansion in Dallas, and I am thrilled to welcome the restaurant, its food, and its employees."

“Complementing our recent expansion in Austin, the introduction of Romeo’s Pizza in the Dallas-Fort Worth area solidifies our foothold in the Texas market,” says Ryan Rose – Romeo’s Pizza CEO. “Romeo’s Pizza and our local Pizza Champions are on track to make a tremendous impact in major areas of Texas with our franchisee-first focus and commitment to empowering our local communities.”

Representative Lucio and his team hope to contribute to the growing, collaborative business community found within Dallas-Fort Worth with a well-defined strategy and a clear path forward. As part of the agreement for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, 20 locations are planned for the near future, which brings the total number of Romeo’s Pizza franchise locations in the works in the Texas market to 40.
