Ziggi's Coffee Family Values Rank High for New Franchisees in Colorado Springs

Two couples signed an agreement to open three units

December 03, 2020 // Franchising.com // LONGMONT, COLO. - Look out Colorado Springs, Ziggi’s Coffee (www.ZiggisCoffee.com) is coming in hot. After growing the brand throughout the Northern Colorado region and beyond, the Longmont, Colorado-based franchise has signed an agreement to bring additional units to Colorado Springs.

The deal was made between two couples and longtime friends, Melissa and Serafin Padilla and Annette and Fernando Verones. The Verones are both military veterans and the Padillas have a background in business and entrepreneurship. Together, they began looking for an investment opportunity that would set them up for success.

“We’ve been exploring franchises for over 10 years,” said Serafin. “We’ve done our own startups but there’s something cool about franchises and the support you receive. Coupling that with coffee, which we know is a very lucrative industry, we knew this was the way to go.”

When the Padillas came to the Verones with the idea of starting a business together, the Verones knew Ziggi’s Coffee would be a great franchise opportunity for them.

“My wife and I love Ziggi’s Coffee and get it every time we go to visit our daughter,” said Fernando. “Once we started looking into it more, we all really loved the family approach and how connected everyone is.”

Melissa added, “The family-oriented nature of Ziggi’s Coffee is something unique and you don’t necessarily get that with other franchises. We’re constantly thinking about our family, so being with a company that shares our same values makes us very excited about this opportunity and the doors it will open for us.”

In addition to family values, the group was also very attracted to the growth potential, the company’s Colorado roots, and the versatile menu options.

“We love that this is a homegrown franchise. We’re not from Colorado originally but we’ve always been pulled toward it,” said Serafin. “The fact that Ziggi’s Coffee is a local company with exceptional products and menu offerings and is currently experiencing exponential growth; we couldn’t be happier to be getting in now. It’s just going to explode.”

The couples plan to get three units open as soon as possible and are currently working with the Ziggi’s Coffee team to identify viable real estate options in the Colorado Springs area.
