Take 5 earned a silver award for Excellence in Technology and two bronze awards for Excellence in Learning and Excellence in Talent Management.

Excellence in Technology Silver Award: Best Advance in Performance Support Technology for Crisis Management for “GooseChase”

During the initial stages of the COVID-19 crisis in March, business revenue plummeted with the onset of lockdowns. Take 5 Oil Change employees experienced great anxiety. The leadership team sought to reinvigorate the culture, a sense of normalcy, recognition, better change management, and ensuring new policies were executed consistently with longevity.

Take 5 turned to a winning strategy - using competition to drive results. The GooseChase Scavenger Hunt app technology was the perfect tool to engage the workforce and exceed business targets. This app influenced the following during the early stages of the COVID-19 crisis:

  • Positivity - Good vibes for each other internally and in the community. Custom scavenger hunt missions helped team members feel purposeful as they offered an essential automotive service to the community.
  • Recognition - Certain missions recognized birthdays, anniversaries, and praised the efforts of coworkers.
  • Sense of family - Some of the missions were fun for the sake of fun. These missions kept the team connected.
  • Current initiatives - Missions tapped into time-sensitive health and safety topics, marketing promotions, and Take 5 policy and procedure changes.

Excellence in Talent Management Bronze Award: Best Advance in Employee Recognition Program for “Take 5 High 5”

The Take 5 leadership team believes that a recognition culture is all about having fun, showing appreciation, rewarding the right behaviors, and being genuine. The Take 5 High 5 program includes a series of certificates that reward the following categories to drive business results:

Employees earn $20 when they receive a Take 5 High 5.
