Kumon of Robinson Township Is Officially Open and Accepting New Enrollments

January 15, 2021 // Franchising.com // ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Shantha Bharthi had a lot of time to learn the ins and outs of the Kumon Math and Reading Program; she gained valuable experience when she enrolled her son in the program and helped his academic growth over the course of 14 years. Although she was a computer scientist and engineer by trade, her main passion was ensuring a full education for her children. Bharthi felt confident that Kumon helped complete that puzzle in her family.

Her son completed both the Math and Reading programs before entering high school and was able to breeze through material several years above his grade level for the rest of his education. Bharthi decided to offer that opportunity to area students and to take her commitment to Kumon to a new level by opening a center of her own. As the proud owner and Instructor of Kumon of Robinson Township, she is excited to begin to spread a love for learning in her community.

“After over a decade as a Kumon Parent witnessing the successes of my children, I knew that I wanted to contribute to my community by giving as many children as possible the chance of that same path,” said Shantha Bharthi, owner and Instructor of Kumon of Robinson Township. “The individualized structure that is determined by a student’s ability allows them to experience an upward trend in their progress if they stay committed.”

Kumon is a supplemental education program that aims to unlock students’ full potential by increasing academic independence, confidence, and study skills. Through daily worksheet study, students enrolled in Kumon often end up mastering material far beyond grade level.

“Each and every day when students come to my center, they should feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that they have learned something,” said Bharthi. “My hope is that by providing efficient techniques and guidance to each individual student, I will have a positive impact on our community.”
