The CARSTAR Colorado Business Group Helps Guide The Collision Repair Professionals Of The Future With Support Of Pickens Technical College

Internship Program at CARSTAR Locations Allows Students to Complete Their Course Work and Meet Their Credit Requirements

April 26, 2021 // Franchising.com // DENVER, CO - Today’s collision repair students are the future of the collision repair industry, and the CARSTAR Colorado Business Group is doing its part to invest in their success. For more than a decade, the Denver-area CARSTAR store owners and team members have provided support and coaching for Pickens Technical College in Aurora, CO.

The Colorado CARSTAR stores include 11 locations along the Front Range, from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins.

The Colorado CARSTAR owners have served on the school’s Collision Advisory Councill for 10 years, mentoring, coaching, and helping develop training curriculum, for “real life” body shop skills, and now are providing uniforms for the students.  During that time, they have provided student orientations, provided donation vehicles and parts, and participated in their local VICA qualifications as judges for student performance.

“We’re proud to help the next generation of collision repair professionals succeed in this industry,” said Gary Boesel, owner of CARSTAR Alpine Auto Body and CARSTAR Jordan Road Collision in Denver. “It’s our duty to keep our industry thriving with well-trained technicians and to give back to the young people in our community. It’s an honor to see them learn new skills and get ready for their careers.”

Multiple Pickens Tech graduates have become employed at Colorado CARSTAR stores, helping them grow their careers.  Due to Covid19 restrictions, the Colorado CARSTAR locations, which are deemed essential businesses, are currently participating in internship programs that allow students to work in actual shop environments to assist them in meeting their credit requirements.
