The extended-stay hotel is ideally located just across the from R&D giant Battelle and adjacent to Columbus’ vibrant Short North Arts District, Victorian Village and The Ohio State University. Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality was selected to manage Hyatt House OSU-Short North, marking First Hospitality’s sixth hotel in the Columbus area.

First Hospitality tapped Malia Widder to serve as director of sales and marketing for the new hotel. Widder has helped travelers, meeting planners and corporate housing specialists with their unique lodging needs for 10-plus years. Industry veteran Victor Patterson was named General Manager of the new hotel, bringing more than two decades of hospitality management expertise to the role.
