Wild Birds Unlimited Continues Commitment to Support with Enterprise Leadership Conference

Bird feeding and backyard supply franchise welcomes franchisees to virtual conference and trade show

September 09, 2021 // Franchising.com // CARMEL, Ind. - Wild Birds Unlimited, a bird feeding and nature specialty franchise, welcomed franchisees from across the nation to its second virtual conference to begin the second half of 2021.

The conference, titled “From Resilience to Renaissance,” offered a full week of conferences, panel discussions, and trade show opportunities to guide franchisees into another period of success.

“We are thrilled with the success of our conference, with so many franchisees that made the time to attend,” said WBU Chief Development Officer Paul Pickett. “These conferences are designed to equip our franchisees with tools to succeed, and it’s no surprise that they were eager to participate and find benefits for their business.”

Wild Birds Unlimited founder and CEO Jim Carpenter began the conference by lauding the efforts of the entire system and its franchisees. Not only did WBU manage an unprecedented situation during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the company grew.

Still, it was not immune to supply chain issues that impacted so many industries in 2020. Franchisees interacted with more than sixty suppliers to plan inventory and new product offerings for the second half of 2021. In addition to those opportunities, franchisees also connected with members of WBU’s Franchise Support Center to learn about other avenues for support.

The week-long virtual conference was the latest example of guidance from the WBU system, coming on the heels of several Town Halls for franchisees to communicate their satisfaction or concerns with the franchisor.
