School Of Rock Princeton Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

The Princeton grand opening event includes a live performance from students with special guests

September 16, 2021 // Franchising.com // Lawrence, NJ. - School of Rock announces the grand opening of School of Rock Princeton in Lawrence, New Jersey. The event will take place at 1761 Princeton Ave, Lawrence, NJ, 08648 from 12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EDT,  on Saturday, September 18.

The event will kick off with the grand opening ceremony with a performance by the students in the school’s house band and special guests Lawrence Mayor James Kownacki and Councilman John Ryan. Other highlights of the event will include tours of the new facility and prizes, such as School of Rock Princeton shirts and swag, as well as a raffle for a Fender guitar package.

School of Rock Princeton is managed by Billie Seeland. Seeland has been a part of the School of Rock franchise for the past 12 years, which is owned and operated by Michael Morpurgo, a former musician who was recorded as a bassist on Universal Records and Roughhouse Records.

The grand opening of the Princeton location marks Seeland’s move from a previous location. When Covid hit, they realized they needed a larger facility. This new location will now have twice as many lesson rooms, two rehearsal spaces, and an exclusive venue for performances.

“Music is a way to bring together people with diverse backgrounds and beliefs,” said Seeland. “I want School of Rock to be a place to cultivate creativity and confidence through a community that encourages inclusiveness and acceptance. I want to ensure that School of Rock is a nurturing environment for youth to grow as both musicians and as individuals.”

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol,The Voice and Broadway.

“Billie Seeland has a strong appreciation for music education, and they are passionate about teaching students through rock n’ roll,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “I’m confident they will be an excellent leader for the new School of Rock location in Princeton.”
