810 Billiards & Bowling Welcomes New COO, Wayne Stancil

With over four decades of experience in casual dining and themed entertainment concepts, Stancil joins 810 Billiards & Bowling and looks forward to aiding the brand in growing to be the best in class.

July 13, 2022 // Franchising.com // South Carolina - 810 Billiards & Bowling, the six-unit upscale entertainment concept, has welcomed Wayne Stancil as its new Chief Operating Officer. Though he brings over 40 years of experience in casual dining and themed entertainment concepts, Stancil shifted his focus to the family entertainment space about eight years ago. He spent four-and-a-half years at Main Event as the company grew from 12 locations to 41, and Stancil says that his role in this position has informed his excitement about 810 Billiards & Bowling’s growth trajectory.

“What I see is helping us become best in class in the markets that we are in and finding ways to differentiate ourselves from the run of the mill entertainment venues,” Stancil said. “The beauty of what we offer, whether it’s couples on a date night, coworkers after work, millennials and their kids or just business professionals who want to let their hair down and unwind - we offer a lot for everyone.”

The wide variety of offerings at 810 Billiards & Bowling is precisely what sets it apart, Stancil added. Many people think of entertainment venues as places that focus on families with young children. Though there is certainly a market for those offerings, entertainment doesn’t have to stop at young children.

“You may spend two or three hours here because you can do it all,” Stancil explained. “You don’t have to make the decision about where or when to eat. I think that’s a very pleasant surprise for a lot of guests who have never been to an 810 Billiards & Bowling before. They walk in and realize that they can eat, have a group event, host corporate functions or just unwind.”

810 Billiards & Bowling’s scratch kitchen sets it apart from other entertainment venues as well. Rather than a walk-up snack bar, brand offers Angus steak burgers and freshly made pizza dough, allowing for a restaurant-quality experience without leaving the building.

“Elevating the food and beverage offerings allows customers to satisfy that quest, and they can immediately go to shoot pool, bowl, play some arcade games or shoot darts. You’re not in a box,” Stancil said.

Stancil has joined the brand while it is still in its infancy. With six company locations and a developing franchise model, 810 Billiards & Bowling is poised to develop, expand and disrupt the old-school perception of entertainment venues.

“I’m excited about helping the 810 team take it to the next level as we continue to grow our corporate locations and help support potential franchise partners,” Stancil said. “I think of myself as an optimist, and I live by a pretty simple philosophy: Be better today than you were yesterday, because today is yesterday’s tomorrow. As we grow, I’m looking at business from all sides and working to be better each day for the guests, operators and owners.”

The total investment necessary to begin operation of an 810 Bowling Franchised Business is $1,427,500 to $2,917,000, including a $50,000 franchise fee. For more information, visit https://www.810bowling.com/franchising/.
