Transworld Business Advisors Minnesota Franchisee Acquires Additional Territory in Neighboring State

Franchise owners Scott and Michelle Hislop expand reach with acquisition of Des Moines, Iowa location

August 04, 2022 // Franchising.com // WEST PALM BEACH, FL -  Transworld Business Advisors® (TBA) announced that Scott and Michelle Hislop, owners of the Minnesota franchise territories, are expanding into an additional state through the acquisition of the Des Moines, Iowa territory.

The expansion enables the Hislops and their staff to widen their scope of services and gain additional agricultural industry clients.

Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota was started by the Hislops seven years ago with one franchise territory and within their first year of franchise ownership, they secured rights to all territories within the state of Minnesota. The Hislops brokerage has grown during that time to serve the entire state and was rated in the top five producing locations for TBA in 2021.

"When we decided to add Des Moines to our territory, we were really excited," Scott Hislop said. "We have a farming background and Iowa is a large agricultural state, so this was a natural fit for Michelle and I. Plus, with so many people leaving corporate America and choosing the freedom of running their own business, we're experiencing a lot of growth and are excited to expand our business offerings in both markets and capitalize on this trend."

He is a volunteer counselor at Vistage Worldwide, a CEO coaching and peer advisory organization and also volunteers at the MNFFA foundation, the Minnesota branch of the Future Farmers of America. The business is a member of Association for Corporate Growth and the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. The Hislops also volunteer at the Beauford Methodist Church.

The Minnesota and Iowa locations will operate separately but will be managed by the same leadership team. The Hislops hope to expand into additional territories which may include other neighboring states.
