Goldfish Swim School Announces Franchise Agreement into Kentucky

November 11, 2022 // Franchising.com // Lexington/Louisville, KY. - Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC has signed a franchise agreement to bring four Goldfish Swim Schools to Kentucky.

Behind the agreement is Theresa Carnes (Spotted Bass, LLC.), who plans to open the four locations with the help of her husband in the next couple of years. The first location is set to open at 4176 Westport Rd. in Louisville, next to the St. Matthew’s Target store.

“We are excited to bring a Goldfish Swim School to our adopted city of Louisville,” said Carnes. “My husband Andrew and I have lived in Louisville for eight years. Andrew is a professor of Exercise Science at Bellarmine University and I work as a Real Estate Broker at TRIO Commercial Property Group, in addition to operating my Goldfish Swim School. We aspire to provide every Goldfish Louisville student with lifelong skills that reach far beyond the pool. Confidence in the water opens an ‘ocean’ of possibility in a child’s life - one that only begins with exploration, achievement, community, and friendship.”

“We’ve been eager to bring Goldfish to Kentucky,” said Chris McCuiston, CEO & Co-Founder of Goldfish Swim School. “Water safety education is a top priority, with drowning being the number one cause of accidental death in children zero to four. Teaching children to be safer in and around the water is essential to a community and we feel very grateful to be expanding into the state and bringing this critical life skill to more families.”

Goldfish Swim School’s core values extend from its members to its franchisees, as the Franchise Office Support team is committed to going above and beyond with every detail.

Goldfish Swim School provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children ages four months to 12 years, teaching children how to be safer in and around the water. Each school offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. Each school’s number one focus and main priority is always the same – educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water.
