Beaverton DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen Wins Personal Achievement Award

November 30, 2022 // Franchising.com // OREGON - Joe Bender, owner and general manager of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Beaverton, OR, has received the company’s 2022 Personal Achievement Award for pulling the franchise around after a critical downturn in business.

The awards have national recognition and were presented at the company's Reunion Conference in Phoenix, AZ June 16th. DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is a respected home remodeling franchise brands, with customer satisfaction consistently outpacing national averages.  DreamMaker owners and team members adhere to a “Code of Values,” which emphasizes honesty and integrity combined with customer-first designs and remodeling.

After a series of setbacks, the franchise was “on life-support” in 2019 when a reorganization was proposed by a company review panel. By implementing its suggestions, and through a great deal of hard work and determination, Bender was able to completely reverse the franchise’s slide. By the end of the year 2021, he has a great team all working towards a common goal, a new larger shop area for staging to increase efficiency, and many other changes. The Team finished 2021 with healthy success.

“We are extremely grateful to have been recognized for this project,” says Bender. “DreamMaker’s Code of Values is important to every one of us. They are not rules, but reminders of how we should conduct business and navigate relationships in our daily lives." The award was for a large, upscale bathroom beautifully transformed with custom cabinetry, extravagant tile selections and striking fixtures, says Bender. Without changing the floor plan drastically, DreamMaker was able to increase storage space and functionality. Custom designed and built cabinetry at a taller height provides more storage and reduces wasted space. The use of different tile patterns, layouts and colors help break up the different zones and create interest throughout the bathroom. Unique storage solutions were used including custom inserts for hairstyling tools.

Bender started Bender Industrial Group (BIG, Inc.) over 20 years ago, wanting to make building and remodeling dreams come true. Since joining DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, Joe has focused on transforming kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior spaces to help his clients find joy and function in their homes.

Joe and his family enjoy the Oregon outdoors and traveling.
