Dough Boy Pizza Coming To Atlanta In January 2023

December 23, 2022 // Franchising.com // Atlanta, Georgia - Dough Boy Pizza announced that they are opening their second location and first franchise - with radio host, Ryan Cameron (host of Radio One’s Ryan Cameron Uncensored).

Cameron will be the company’s first official franchisee. The location is slated to open in Mid-January 2023 in The Gallery at South DeKalb at 2801 Candler Road, Decatur, GA 30034.

Dough Boy will focus on Neapolitan-style pizza, which will consist of thin crust pizzas with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce - featuring both traditional toppings (such as pepperoni and sausage), and non-traditional toppings (short rib with caramelized onions and crawfish).

“A major standout is that the entire restaurant is technology driven – that won me over,” says Cameron. “There will be no cashiers so customers will order directly from electronic kiosks – and the entire restaurant will run on digital screens.”

Dough Boy’s first location is Downtown Birmingham, just steps away from the city’s key destinations (Historic Theatre District, Railroad Park, Regions Field, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and more).

“With Dough Boy Pizza’s concept, we are helping franchisees control labor and food costs with our technology focus,” says Barrett, who also owns SOCU Southern Kitchen & Oyster Bar in Birmingham and Mobile. “This is perfect for the millennial who wants to grab their pizza and go – we wanted to build a restaurant of the future.”

While creating SOCU in Birmingham, Barrett stumbled across a pizza oven and immediately thought about creating a pizza shop. After importing additional pizza ovens from Italy, she got inspired by the Italian way of making pizza (which will be evident with the authentic, imported Italian crust on the pizzas at Dough Boy).
