Office 1 Superstores International (OFFICE 1) started out in 1989 under the brand name Carlin in Madrid, Spain as a partnership between Mark Baccash and Jose Luis Hernandez with the launch of a unique self-service superstore which grew into a chain of 475 Carlin franchised stores with annual turnover in excess of 200 million Euros. In 1994, OFFICE 1 was founded by Mark Baccash with the objective of expanding the concept internationally through master franchises under the OFFICE 1 brand name.
