Tony Roma's Braehead opens … at last!
The waiting is finally over! Tony Roma's new restaurant at Xscape Braehead in Scotland finally opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, 4th April, some 18 months after plans were first drawn up and 10 months later than scheduled. Tony Roma's UK Managing Director, Peter Sakal, said, "We are delighted to have finally opened in Braehead after such a long time in planning. There were many issues which were outside of our control but which contributed to the lengthy delay in opening. We are delighted with the restaurant and we have had some very positive customer feedback. The restaurant started trading exceptionally well, and way, way above budget. It seems that the people of Scotland cannot get enough of our ribs!"

Trading has, indeed, been excellent in the early weeks at Tony Roma's in Braehead, and on Bank Holiday Monday, 7th May, the new restaurant recorded a record number of guests served in a day for Tony Roma's in the UK, with just over 700 meals being served. Peter Sakal added, "Tony Roma's has been made to feel very welcome indeed in Scotland and we are delighted to have made the decision to open there."
