(Monday, October 30, 2006) - At their September 2006 Franchisee Convention, Regis Corporation, the industry leader in salons, hair restoration centers and education, honored twelve of its franchisees with the prestigious Franchisee of the Year award.
There are 450 franchisees in Regis Corporation's franchise network who operate nearly 4,000 locations worldwide. With internationally recognized concepts including Supercuts, Cost Cutters, Pro-Cuts, City Looks, First Choice Haircutters and Magicuts, Regis Corporation has a strong system of franchisees.
The Franchisee of the Year award recognizes a franchisee with successful management skills, which include achieving exemplary business results and sharing knowledge with other franchisees. The award winners were highlighted for working with their salon staff by helping them grow professionally, providing outstanding leadership, and serving as excellent role models. They were also congratulated for working with other franchisees by offering ideas, input and time to help them improve their own businesses.
Winning Franchisees of the Year - 2006
Multi-Concept Franchisee of the Year
Jamil and Kitty Alaily of Kimberly, Wisconsin, were honored with the Multi-Concept Franchisee of the Year award. Celebrating their 22nd year with Regis, the Alaily's franchise 38 Cost Cutters and Supercuts hair salons in locations throughout Wisconsin.
First Choice Haircutters Franchisee of the Year
Dorothy Misener of Woodstock, Ontario was given the honor of the First Choice Haircutters Franchisee of the Year Award. A Regis franchisee for 22 years, Misener has two First Choice Haircutters salons.
Magicuts Franchisee of the Year
Drew Irwin of Winnipeg, Ontario was awarded the Magicuts Franchisee of the Year award. Celebrating his fifth year as a franchisee with Regis, Irwin has 27 Magicuts and three First Choice Haircutters in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Pro-Cuts Franchisee of the Year
Lisa Webb of Houston, Texas, was honored with the Pro-Cuts Franchisee of the Year award. With 11 years as a Pro-Cuts franchisee, Webb has six Pro-Cuts; three near the Shreveport and Lafayette areas of Louisiana and three near Corpus Christi, Texas.
City Looks Franchisee of the Year
Don and Deb Thorpe of Bismarck, North Dakota were awarded with the City Looks Franchise of the Year award. Celebrating their 25th year in business with City Looks, the Thorpes franchise their City Looks in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Trade Secret Franchisee of the Year
Wayne Grimes of Knoxville, Tennessee has been honored with the Trade Secret Franchisee of the Year award. A Trade Secret franchisee for 15 years, Grimes has five Trade Secret salons in Knoxville, TN, Spartanburg, SC, and Ashville, NC.
Supercuts Franchisees of the Year
Under 10 Stores
Ray Elias of Franklinville, New Jersey was named the Supercuts 'Under 10 Stores' Franchisee of the Year. Elias, a Supercuts franchisee for six years, has eight Supercuts salons in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania region.
Over 10 Stores
Jerry and Regina Lillie of San Francisco, California and Mead, Washington were awarded the Supercuts 'Over 10 Stores' Franchisee of the Year award. Celebrating their 24th year in business with Supercuts, the Lillies franchise Supercuts in Eastern and Central Washington and Northern Idaho.
Cost Cutters Franchisees of the Year
Under 10 Stores
Chuck and Adam Crews of Columbia, Missouri were honored as the Cost Cutters 'Under 10 Stores' Franchisee of the Year. Regis franchisees for seven years, the Crews have five salons in Columbia, Moberly, and Jefferson, Missouri.
Over 10 Stores
Mark and Joni Evans of Hiawatha, Iowa, were awarded the Cost Cutters 'Over 10 Stores' Franchisee of the Year award. Celebrating their 11th year as a Regis franchisee, the Evans have 31 Cost Cutters salons in the Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, Iowa areas.
Mentor/Coaching Award
Jamil and Kitty Alaily of Kimberly, Wisconsin were honored with the Mentor/Coaching Award. This award recognizes a franchise who donates their time to provide other franchisees the training, assistance and counseling they need to help improve their business.
Torch Bearer Award
Kitty Alaily was honored with the Torch Bearer Award. This award is given to an individual who is committed to excellence and dedicated to education. Regis franchisees for 22 years, The Alaily's franchise 38 Cost Cutters and Supercuts hair salons in locations throughout Wisconsin.
