"I don't know the exact total number of square miles but I do know that it's larger than the country of France," smiles Roth. "We've been told it's about 1/5th of the total land mass of British Columbia. Our territory is bounded by the Queen Charlotte Islands in the west, the Yukon border in the north, Kitimat in the south and Houston in the east. Any way you look at it, we have a big territory."
The Roth brothers decided to get into home medical equipment business on the advice of Dennis Roth's wife. "Darlene has more than 20 years of experience working in the healthcare field specializing in geriatric care," explains Garry Roth. It was while she was working at the Terrace View Lodge that she discovered the area was underserviced in terms of home medical equipment and rehab products."
"The more we looked into it, the more the MEDIchair name surfaced as the biggest and best home medical equipment specialists in Canada. So, after much research we bought the MEDIchair North Coast franchise territory from MEDIchair Prince George."

"We work well together as a team says," Garry Roth. "With my background as a retired school district administrator and business consultant, I will be the General Manager. My brother Dennis who has been a general contractor all his life will handle sales, installation and servicing of all the products we sell. Darlene will work closely with Dennis in sales and focus on developing strong relationships with the occupational and physiotherapists and other health care professionals within our territory. We will add experienced people as the business grows."
