Celebrates opening day with charitable contribution to Bryn Mawr Hospital
June 20, 2008 // Franchising.com // Haverford, Penn. – Fresh has a new address in Eastern Pennsylvania. Bruegger's, best known for its authentic New York style bagels and an expansive menu that includes made-to-order fresh sandwiches, soups and salads, opened in its first bakery in Haverford Township at 396 West Lancaster Street.
To celebrate the occasion and thank the community for its support, a portion of opening day sales will be donated to the Bryn Mawr Hospital. A ribbon "slicing" ceremony led by Bruegger's CEO James J. Greco, "Brueggie" the Bruegger's mascot, and representatives from Haverford Township and Bryn Mawr Hospital officially marked the grand opening event.
"This opening marks the first of several bakeries planned for the greater Philadelphia area," said James J. Greco, Bruegger's CEO. "We look forward to becoming a part of the community here and establishing Bruegger's as a convenient, friendly place to enjoy a delicious, wholesome breakfast or lunch."
The new bakery has seating for up to 70 guests and will employ approximately 20 people. The bakery is open Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The bakery also features free, unlimited wireless Internet access.
Kettle boiled first; Bruegger's bagels are baked fresh throughout the day to give them an authentic crunchy crust on the outside and a dense, chewy texture on the inside. In addition to fresh, hot bagels, Bruegger's offers an extensive menu free of artificial trans fats. Menu items include new Signature Soups, hand-crafted, fresh-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches and unique Green Mountain Coffee Roasters® coffee blends, including a daily Fair Trade Certified™ blend.
