SHIELD Security Systems markets and monitors both residential and commercial burglar and fire alarm systems, along with access control, CCTV and home theatre systems. Over the past seven years, SHIELD Security Systems has awarded franchises throughout the United States and is now poised to expand its footprint into the Maryland market.

According to Jezioro, the interest has been extensive. "Inquiries from Maryland have been inordinately high compared to many states throughout the country," he said. Since territories are awarded based on population counts per county, a limited number of SHIELD franchises will be awarded. Candidates must be willing to participate in a mutual evaluation process to be considered.
