Blue Oxe Axe Throwing Announces Franchise Opportunities For Aspiring Entrepreneurs That Have A Passion For Leisure Activities And Rapid Growth

Blue Ox Axe Throwing Is Now Offering Franchising Opportunities Throughout the United States

June 12, 2019 // Franchising.com // Wallingford, CT - Blue Ox Axe Throwing is proud to announce that they are currently offering franchise opportunities to qualified candidates throughout the United States, effective today. Qualified applicants who are awarded the opportunity to own and operate a franchise will be provided with an exceptional business model, extensive training, and consistent, ongoing support from senior management.

Blue Ox Axe Throwing is one of the newest axe-throwing companies to appear in the North East. Axe throwing originated as a competitive sport in Canada and has become popular in several major U.S. markets.

“Blue Ox Axe Throwing’s first facility opened in Wallingford, Connecticut and quickly became Connecticut’s highest-rated axe-throwing venue,” says CEO/Founder, Gerald Ferraro. “Now, due to booming growth and increased industry recognition, Blue Ox is offering a franchise opportunity to interested and qualified candidates along with expanding corporate operations throughout the United States.”

Blue Ox has six “lanes” with two targets in each lane. Customers can either book one lane for a one-hour “open throw” session or book a lane for a two-hour “social throw” session that includes instructions from “ax masters.” Axe Masters begin each session with a brief introductory lesson on the rules and proper technique.

Open Throw is for recommended for smaller groups (2-10 throwers) and lasts one hour. Cost per thrower is $20. Social Throw is recommended for larger groups (typically 6 - 16 throwers) and lasts for two hours - ensuring enough throwing time for all participants. Cost per thrower is $35 and a minimum of three throwers is required. Customers can book sessions in advance or at the actual location.

“Last year, my partner (Graham Kelley) and I were in Minneapolis, Minnesota for his bachelor party when we went axe throwing for the first time at a local facility,” Ferraro adds. “Within minutes of our first throw, we quickly agreed that axe throwing was an activity that would thrive in New England and throughout the Northeast --- and we were right.”

Like other ax-throwing venues, Blue Ox allows customers to bring their own beer, wine, cider, seltzers and wine coolers but no hard liquor. Non-Throwers can join in on the fun as well.

Potential franchise candidates can expect to receive a tested and perfected model, extensive training and on-going management support, materials and the benefit of the senior management team’s experience. During franchisee training, at the corporate headquarters, franchisees will learn ‘all things BLUE OX,’ including the company’s unique and highly successful marketing strategies, which are essential ingredients to maximizing location performance.
