Third-Generation Franchisee, Taylor Pope, Opens New Goddard School at The Wharf

July 22, 2019 // Franchising.com // WASHINGTON - Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI), franchisor of The Goddard School preschool system, proudly announces the grand opening of a new Goddard School in southwest Washington D.C.

With more than 500 schools nationwide in 36 states, The Goddard School has been a trusted name among families for more than 30 years. Its classrooms offer safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to six years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore, discover and learn. The new Goddard School in Washington, D.C. is located at the corner of 7th Street and “Eye” Street SW, across from the vibrant $2.5 billion mixed-use waterfront neighborhood, The Wharf. It is the first Goddard School to open in Washington, D.C., and the 25th Goddard School in the D.C. metropolitan area.

The new school is run by third-generation Goddard School franchisee, Taylor Pope, who owns the school along with his mother Anne Pope and his grandfather Don O’Brian. This is the third Goddard School owned by the family; their first two locations opened in Chesapeake, Virginia in 2005 and Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2014.
