Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. announced the additions of Valerie McCartney as Director of Franchise Development, Western U.S., and Diane Phibbs as Director of Franchise Sales and Support.

Tampa, FL, July 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc., the nation's largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants and parent company of both Checkers® and Rally's® concepts, today announced the additions of Valerie McCartney as Director of Franchise Development, Western U.S., and Diane Phibbs as Director of Franchise Sales and Support. Don Miller has assumed the role of Director of Franchise Development, Eastern U.S.

These newly created positions were strategically implemented to provide an organizational structure that allows the Company to better meet its aggressive growth plans and franchising objectives.

Valerie McCartney, Director of Franchise Development, Western U.S., comes to Checkers/Rally's with nearly 20 years of franchise development and marketing experience in the foodservice and consumer goods industries, including work with Taco Bell®, Pizza Hut®, El Pollo Loco® and Pepsi-Cola®. Most recently, she served as Director of Franchise Sales and Development at Johnny Rockets®.

Diane Phibbs, Director of Franchise Sales and Support, brings 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry to this new position. Previously, Phibbs served as Director of Franchise Sales for Beef 'O' Brady's®. She has also held senior level franchise positions with Arby's® and Popeyes® Chicken & Biscuits.
