United Water Restoration Group Ramps up Nationwide Growth through Franchising

Restoration Franchise Aims for 200 Open Franchises by 2021

August 20, 2019 // Franchising.com // ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - United Water Restoration Group (UWRG) is ramping up its franchise growth in 2019. With a renewed focus on franchising, the 22-unit restoration brand anticipates at least 200 UWRGs open and operating by August 2021.

Already on the road to 200, UWRG has signed five franchise agreements this year and the restoration brand has opened franchise locations in Long Island, N.Y., Stamford, Conn. and Atlanta.

“We are in an aggressive growth mode as our team continues to bring on community-oriented, dedicated franchisees,” said Zoltan Kurucz, who founded the company with Lajos Nagy and Endre Banfi during the Great Recession. “Our team is putting all of our efforts toward building a happy and successful franchise system, and right out of the gate, our team has brought United Water Restoration Group to new markets in new states. There is unlimited potential for our franchise to grow.”

As Kurucz notes, UWRG has spent 2019 dedicated to putting together a best-in-class franchise system. It has brought in marketing professionals who have incorporated a new ‘marketing-team-in-a-box’ for franchisees, an experienced director of franchise operations, and a franchise sales consultant – all in an effort to bring the brand to new heights.

“We are a young company in an old industry. The recent uptick in franchise growth is also due to UWRG’s financial appeal. With a low investment range (from $99k to $217k, depending on how many territories a franchisee buys), there is a massive return on investment. The average UWRG franchise office brings in $1.3M in total revenue.

No matter the economy, what city you are in or what time of the year it is, there will always be business and home owners in need of restoration work,” said Nagy. “Our franchise partners are capitalizing on weather events like flooding from rain, burst pipes from freezing temps and every day issues like smoke or mold getting in a house or business.
