New FASTSIGNS Sign and Graphics Center Open in Spokane

August 07, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Spokane is home to its first FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics center, now open under the husband and wife team, Rick and Dina Cole. Located at 4808 E Sprague Avenue, Suite 200, the new center provides a full range of custom sign and graphic solutions to area businesses, organizations and events.

The Coles first became acquainted with Spokane during the years their daughter Kate attended Whitworth University. During their many visits, both came to really enjoy the area, the people and the lifestyle.

"We wanted to open our own business, researched a number of different franchise opportunities and felt FASTSIGNS, with its solid growth and management philosophy was the best fit for us," explained Rick Cole. "Once we had decided on FASTSIGNS and were told that there was one available in Spokane, we wanted to act quickly."

Now a graduate of Whitworth with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing, their daughter Kate Havercroft joins her parents in the opening of their sign and graphics center as the customer service representative. She is also currently a MBA candidate at Gonzaga University. Completing the Spokane FASTSIGNS team is area native Mark Bryan. Serving as the center's graphic designer, Bryan will utilize his AAS in graphic design as well as his experience in wide-format printing and web, print and multi-media. The Spokane team recently completed an intensive training program at the Carrollton, Texas, headquarters of FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the worldwide franchisor of FASTSIGNS sign and graphics centers.

"Spokane has a lot to offer and we are excited to become more active within the community as business owners," said Rick. "We look forward to bringing our innovative ideas and custom sign solutions to local businesses while contributing our time and resources to help Spokane continue to thrive. As a team we are ready to prove ourselves through hard work and customer service."

Already members of the local chamber, Greater Spokane Incorporated, Rick will be joining the Building Industries Association and Dina is in the process of transferring her Junior League membership to the Spokane sector. Kate will join the Junior League and, upon graduation from Gonzaga, will become involved with the alumni associations at both Gonzaga and Whitworth.
