August 27, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Newport Beach, Calif. — zpizza, the Southern California-based gourmet pizza chain will soon grow from three currently operating stores in Denver to the remainder of Colorado. Jeffrey and Kristin Peterson recently signed a multi-unit deal to open 9 zpizza locations throughout the state, starting with Colorado Springs, where they hope to launch their first restaurant by spring or summer of 2009. The Petersons have the option to open up to 20 Colorado locations by 2028.

"We love the food so much that we quickly became addicted to it – since it opened in our neighborhood, zpizza has been our pizza place! When Kristin and I started looking for a business opportunity that we could tackle together, zpizza was the perfect choice," says Jeffrey. "Kristin is a holistic nutritionist by trade and has always been very impressed by the organic ingredients and soy cheeses offered by the health conscious zpizza menu," he adds.
