August 29, 2008 // Franchising.com // Morris Plains, N.J. – Weichert, Realtors announced today that it raised $60,000 for the American Cancer Society during its eight annual charity golf event and banquet. The funds will benefit the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research. Weichert, Realtors has donated approximately $300,000 since the inception of the annual fundraiser.
"We are extremely proud to be able to support the American Cancer Society," said Jacelyn Botti, Head of Residential Sales for Weichert, Realtors. "Our annual golf outing is just one of the many ways in which Weichert, Realtors tries to give back to the communities we serve."
The Weichert, Realtors Golf Outing was held at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. Nearly 200 golfers participated in the event which included a buffet luncheon, 18-hole golf tournament and post-tournament awards banquet and auction. Additionally, golf merchandise, gift certificates and flat screen TVs were among the many prizes raffled off to attendees of the event.
Numerous companies and organizations sponsored Weichert's charity golf outing. Among them were Sapphire Sponsors Industry Retail Group, Inc., Weichert Insurance, and Merrill Lynch; Platinum Sponsor Mortgage Industry Advisory Corporation; and Gold Sponsors PricewaterhouseCoopers and Freddie Mac.
