Burger King(R) Brand Positioned for Growth in Taiwan

BK Asiapac, Pte. Ltd. and DaChan Great Wall Group Partner to Accelerate BURGER KING(R) Restaurant Growth in the Taiwan Market

Taiwan, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- BK Asiapac, Pte. Ltd. (BKAP), the wholly owned subsidiary of Burger King Corp. (NYSE:BKC) and DaChan Great Wall Group (DCG) announced today an agreement for BKAP to take an equity position in Home Chain Foods Ltd.(HCF), DCG's subsidiary. HCF has been a BURGER KING(R) franchisee since 1989 and currently operates 33 BURGER KING(R) restaurants in Taiwan. The additional capital infused by BKAP will be primarily used to accelerate the brand's restaurant growth within the Taiwan market.
