Puckmasters is the world's leader in providing hockey players with the best training available. Puckmasters unique training methods include Accelerated Learning Techniques (such as End-Point Visualization (EPV) and Backward Shaping), their own exclusive skating surface called ProSpeed™ R.S.S., and their focus on the mental aspect of the game.
They are the World's First and Largest Hockey Training Center franchise with locations across North America and have coached students to become outstanding elite players at all levels of hockey including the NHL.
Puckmasters uses Accelerated Learning Techniques such as End-Point Visualization and Backward Shaping, where they have their students hold the final image (or "end-point") of what they want to accomplish — be it a shot, a pass, or other technique — in their mind and then have them work backwards from that end-point.
Company History
On December 1, 1993, the first Puckmasters Hockey Training Center officially opened its doors. The first facility was about 1500 square feet with a rink that was only 9' wide by 35' long. It was quoted in the local newspaper as being a "Rocky Balboa" type of training enviroment for hockey players. Puckmasters founder Pete Fry's mom and dad, being the true hockey parents they were, would greet the hockey players when they arrived at Puckmasters. Pete Fry would then coach the hockey players during the day and early evening, then develop the programs late into the night, often sleeping the night at Puckmasters.
