Company History
From 1923 to 1995 the family owned company was known as Tilden for Brakes. Although the 75 year old New York based company had made its reputation solely on brakes, Tilden's expansion into the total car care concept is similar to that of the evolution of the automobile.
In July of 1995, Tilden Associates, Inc. secured all of the franchise rights and related trademarks, copyrights, etc. from S.G. Tilden Management, Inc. The management team from S.G. Tilden Management, Inc. is now a part of Tilden Associates, Inc.
Tilden Associates, Inc. is now a publicly traded company under the symbols TLDN. Tilden Associates, Inc. is the sole franchiser of automobile and truck repair service centers under the name "Tilden for Brakes Car Care Centers.TM"
