Getting Started

Our start-up costs range from $33,950--$50,000, an investment recognized as very affordable compared to other franchising opportunities. The start-up costs include the initial franchise fee of $22,500 as well as costs for office space, equipment, marketing/advertising, insurance and miscellaneous business expenses. We help business owners minimize the start-up costs that are typically involved with building a new business by using our proven business model to help eliminate unnecessary overhead.
Excellent Support
The Touching Hearts comprehensive support system is designed to give each franchise owner the training and tools to run a profitable franchise office. Using over twelve years of experience in the senior homecare industry, Touching Hearts provides each franchise owner both initial and ongoing industry specific training.
Each new franchise owner attends our "Touching Hearts Academy," a 5 day, extensive training program in St. Paul, MN taught by experts in senior homecare. Our initial training includes:
- Marketing and promotion of your franchise
- Office, employee, and client management
- Daily and ongoing operations
- Business compliance and insurance
- Services and basic management techniques
- Client, Caregiver, and scheduling software
Once you have completed our initial training, Touching Hearts will provide a copy of our Operations Manual and the various imprinted materials and forms needed to help you commence business immediately.
Along with our week-long training program, a four week Pre-Training program and 12 week Post-Training program help make opening and the day-to-day operations of your franchise office as seamless as possible. In connection with our Post-Training program, national seminars and regional conferences are held to bring owners together. These meetings are designed to provide improvements and developments for your office administration, accounting, and general business operations, as well as continuing education in the home care industry.
Ongoing Support
Touching Hearts provides a dedicated support staff that will provide ongoing coaching to help grow your business. Our management team supports individual franchise owners by being available for on-site visits, helping to maintain a user-friendly operating system, and providing the resources to better serve your clients. Each member of our staff is 100% committed to your success.
Information Technologies (IT)
Industry specific software, presentations, and training programs have been developed for ongoing operations. These tools are also used for building strong business practices, employee training, and communication with the home office. Our software package is designed to handle client, caregiver, and scheduling data. This software program provides a uniform means for multiple computers in an office to update and save all forms of electronic information. The software allows for integration with QuickBooks for payroll, billing calculations, and reports. It also provides client and caregiver profiles, management reports, and customer service support.
We provide an internal, interactive, and secure Touching Hearts web site (for franchisees).
This site provides access to all of the forms and documents pertaining to the business, updates from the home office, internal podcasts for training and education, and a forum for communication with fellow franchise owners.
Marketing Assistance
Marketing your business through networking and advertising are critical in the growth of each Touching Hearts franchise. Materials provided include brochures, business cards, letterhead and other business forms to help brand your franchise in your territory. Since relationships with community services are a vital component to the success of a franchise, we provide the foundation and training for building these connections as well.
