Company History

The heart of Trent Realty are the founders, Roy and Laureen Trent. But the spirit has deeper roots, beginning in 1956, when Frank Trent, Roy's father, became the youngest person to pass the broker's exam in New York state. In 1962 Frank and his wife, Jo-Marion opened a real estate office in Long Island and became the inspiration for Roy and Laureen, high school sweethearts in Center Moriches, New York. After deciding to move to Brevard County, Florida, the Trents have been multi-million dollar producers since 1989, primarily in VA and HUD. Trent Realty was born in December of 1996, and is now the largest in Brevard County, with offices in Orlando and Sarasota. Now, with the Trent's two children Roy and Sara on board, Trent Realty encompasses three generations of real estate experience.

The Basis for Success With three generations of real estate experience to their credit, it's no surprise that the overwhelming atmosphere at Trent Realty is one of family. Family is all about valuing relationships, and in the real estate business, good relationships equals success, especially in the REO market, where listings are dependent on relationships with lenders. Having worked with VA and HUD foreclosures since 1989, the Trents had a vast experience in the market and developed close relationships with lenders, so that in 2007, when the flood gates opened on the REO market, they were perfectly positioned to succeed. In 2008, they have generated some of their best commission months during a time when others were struggling or closing their businesses. Clients began requesting that they service other markets, and it was then that the idea of expanding the business by offering the Trent Realty franchise model to realtors are seeking to stay in the business that they know.
